I have no knowledge as to what this pendant is (or symbolizes?). I believe it is silver due to the feel and look of it. The front has a man in what appears to be a loin-cloth or small robe, walking with a creature on his shoulders. I really think it's a monkey with a crown of some sort- It does say ITALY around the lower right side of the edge. The back only seems to confuse me more... it has pictures of all the modes of transportation (a plane, train, automobile, and ship). I am unsure if it was my grandfather's or grandmother's; however, my grandfather was enlisted for awhile- no clue if that has anything to do with the pendant. If anyone could even point me in a direction of information, I would be thankful and much less perplexed!

Very nice. I have several different types that are made in Italy. I'm not sure if mine are silver or not. Mine appear to be thinner, than yours, with a brighter looking material. I will try and post a couple of pictures. St. Christopher is the patron saint of travelers if I am not mistaken, that would explain the different modes of transportation. It should also help date it, by the cars and planes. Thanks for sharing, and welcome to Collector's Weekly. Thrifty Gypsy
I think that he has been de-Sainted by the church. He's just Christopher now but that is Jesus represented on his shoulders....he's still #1. RER
Yes, I love it- no matter what the details. I can't say that I am religious, so I didn't recognize it as St. Christopher- But all the help can point me to where I need to start searching for its history. Thank you to everyone.
