COMEX (or Compagnie Maritime d'Expertises) is a Canadian-French consortium specializing in engineering and deep diving operations, created in November 1961 and run ever since then by Henri Germain Delauze. This company is known worldwide for its technology in regards to underwater exploration in high depth.
Since the late 60s, COMEX has commissioned Rolex to provide diving watches to their deep-sea divers. The Rolex COMEX models are now very much sough after by collectors and commanding extremely high prices in auctions.
This particular time piece here however is not a Rolex but an in-house quartz promotional watch given to their ground staff and clients. Nevertheless, it can withstand 20ATM, has a screw down crown and rotating bazel.
