I have waiting for this piece of 1950s Art Deco U-leg display cabinet to arrive and it came this morning so I am so excited and in a big hurry to share it!
This was one of several vintage items a lovely lady was looking to pass to people who appreciate vintage pieces that belonged to her parents. As she was going to do a major renovation of her flat, and she herself was not a vintage-lover, she still wanted to make sure these old treasures went to people who would cherish them. So I am one of the lucky beneficiaries. I spent some time this morning with a damp cloth removing old stickers (highly likely the handiwork of the same lady giving this away, when she was a kid as she is an only child) from the 70s/80s (Scooby Doo, Pink Panther, Captain Hook, Peter Pan etc) - that brought back some memories!
I haven't quite decide what is going to be in them yet, I will have fun deciding and displaying my other vintage treasures, that I am sure!

Phil thanks for the love and the comment. I was wondering whether to rub some teak oil I have on it and thought since it had some varnish on it, it may not absorb and I wasn't going about to do a major job on it. But your comment has inspired me to try. I think I may try the legs first as it is a small area, the varnish is totally worn off and if I screw it up, it will be less visible :)
AmberRose thanks for the appreciation.
