This vase has enchanted me with its colors, it's opalescent pressed glass with polished and partially cut base, made by S Reich & Co ca. 1930

S Reich & Co was founded in 1813 by Samuel Reich in the town of Krasna, Czechoslovakia and rapidly established itself to become one of the leading family-run glass factories in Europe.

By the 1920-30s S. Reich & Co producing some of the most amazing Art Deco glassware of the period.

Their opalescent glass is own varieties of this incredible glass-colour and could be comparable in terms of its quality with the works of R Lalique, Sabino, Etling, Verlys and many more accomplished makers in France or English factories of the period, such as Jobling and Sowerby.

Sample book by S Reich & Co., 1934
    Shape 8906 from board 54.
