This is a really sweet Bohemian or English Footed Brides Bowl, the shape of the bowl itself is very unique and features a lovely shade of pink on the interior, while the exterior features a nice shady of white, with four cool little feet made from amber glass, I'm not 100% sure of the maker but it really is a Beautiful brides bowl! Thanks for looking and as always any information or comments are welcome!

I love it! My grandmother had one very similar to yours in blue and with a handle. I lost it – long story – and ever since I have been looking for a replacement but have not been able to find it. The once I see are either a different colour, the shape of the handle is different, or they have dot's. One day I will find it and buy it, no matter what the cost will be:)

Hi! May I ask what you mean by the term 'brides bowl'? Is it something traditionally given as a gift or does it serve another purpose?

Wow love the frills & colour on this Shawn. Why do you call it a brides bowl? I've not heard the saying before.

Freiheit, I believe if you look long enough on eBay, you'll eventually find anything you could imagine! Bex and Fran, Brides bowls are and large bowls often times which can be placed in metal holders which were traditional gifts to a bride and groom, thus the name, here is a very simple article based on them

Thanks for the link Shawn. Most interesting, funny how a term starts when it wasn't originally used. I've seen a few bowls in metal baskets (i like them & would love one one day) often described as jam or preserve bowls.
