This cup and saucer is a bit out of my comfort zone. I just could resist buying it for 50 cent. It has some signs of wear but no cracks or chips.
Thanks for looking:)

Wow
I have the same here.......EH? LOL
I think is wonderful!
Thanks a lot, Aimathena, antiquerose and Virginia.vintage.
I think the royal winton "golden age" is great !! I collected this for years , bowls cups & saucers, urns , vases & pots all different shapes & sizes, it looked lovely on my victorian black japanned glass unit with shelves all over it !!
Theres not too much around anymore & dealers seem to like the chintz but I think the golden is underrated!! They also did a silvered range which you dont see too much & im pretty sure ive still got in storage...
Sadly some things had to go when I moved house and the lot went to auction ..out of memory I had around 30-40 pieces which sold for just over a couple hundred pounds which was a lot more than I paid for it ;-))
I understand that space is a problem for many collectors. I usually buy what I like - and therefore it is hard to get rid of something. I stopped pretty much buying anything but jewelry because of space restriction. I have many pieces just stacked on top of another and until I get a new display case, I cannot enjoy them.
For that reason, I passed on a second one just last week. They are rather rare here in Canada but nevertheless underrated like you said. I think that for some people the gold is just a bit too much. Too bad you sold your collection - but on the bright sight it seemed to have been worth:)
Many thanks also to Jewels, Bigsarge, Manikin, and Radegunder:)
I love it! I would serve the children who visit our house with it and tell them it was real gold! =)
