I believe these could be considered Americana. My grandmother was only 18 years old. This is what ladies were supposed to do--play music, paint beautiful pictures, embroder lovely trims and doilies, cook amazing desserts, and go to social gatherings.

Your grandmother was very talented. Both my mother and my aunt painted and I have many of their paintings and plan to post them eventually. Check back....
They're wonderful heirlooms and my children and my mother's other grandchildren all wanted some of her work when she passed away.

Macobabe13, please forgive for not acknowledging your lovely comment sooner. Sometimes, it just gets too busy to have any fun! I haven't been on line for a while. I will keep watching for your mother's and your aunt's art. Thank you.

No problem, Jackie. I'll be posting the paintings in a month or more when we return to IN from FL.

Wonderful. My favorites are the pansies and the dog.
