This little 4" tall but heavy piece from GW is absolutely beautiful. No matter which way you turn it the colors in the threaded glass change like a kaleidoscope. I'm thinking it was probably a perfume bottle as it seems rather small for a vase. No marks just the remains of a little oval sticker on the polished bottom. They did have some perfume bottles in the showcase with atomizers the other day but they were gone today. Maybe this one didn't make the cut and got put out because of a missing stopper. -Mike-

Thanks Leah.... That's what I figured too. It would have been priced much higher if it were in the same category as some of the rare beauties you have in your collection. I have yet to ever see any glass by one of the big names in our thrift stores, despite all the other wonderful things I've found.

Thanks Rose :) I was told it was a perfume bottle but the stopper is missing. Still someone must have made it. I'll have to check into your suggestions.

Mike, I just bought a bottle yesterday marked Eickholt, you might try him.

Thanks Katherine...I've heard of him. It was when I was researching some paperweights I have. I thought for sure this piece would be signed but all that remains is an oval paper label remnant.

I hate do rain on your parade, but these perfume bottles are made in Taiwan and are seen with a clear oval label "Glass Act Studio Crafted (or Made) in Taiwan". They were imported by A.A. Importers. There are some authentic threaded glass maker signed bottles, but this one is a mass produced and sold for pennies on the dollar for resale. I have one and it is nice to have for comparison.
