My first house was a much added to cabin built in 1925. This stove was in it and when I sold the house I couldn't part with it. It worked until I built my new house in 1999. Does anyone know what year and make it is? My research makes me think its about 1920's Detroit Vapor Stove but I'm not confident. Planning to restore and put in my next house so I need any info available. Thanks in advance.

What a gorgeous stove. I wish I had some info for you, but I'm in a similar boat. I'm moving and cannot bear to part with a vintage stove that came with the house. If you have any tips on the restoration process, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!

Looks like a Gaffers & Sattlers stove.

also could likely be made by Detroit vapor stove. I have a very similar model which is... beautiful stove! anyone have recommendations on Midwest restoration resources for stoves from the 1920s-30s?

Great stove! It looks like mine...which is a 1920 Detroit Jewel made from the Michigan Stove Company (Detroit). My stove was also left in my house, and is in near perfect shape. Really I am very lucky to have it, but I will likely sell it. I'm sure there is someone out there who would appreciate putting it to good use.
