    Thought this was a nice little 8" vase. Very unusual shape with different optical patterns in the top and bottom half of the piece. There is also a huge air bubble in the bottom portion, so it's probably blown glass. It's an intense blue color and the glass feels very light and delicate. The stem and base are a bit more solid. The bottom has a funny little belly button pontil. Haven't a clue about the maker so I'll just call it "art" glass. -Mike-

      Sure looks like it's in the same style Jay. A lid...oh darn. I didn't think about that with the scalloped finished edge. Usually it would be a smooth edge but I see yours does have a lid even with the scallop. Probably got broken :(

      Think this piece I posted 6 months ago might be Empoli too. I was looking at 20th Century Glass's site and they had a yellow and brown one that looked almost like tortoise shell in their Empoli section.
