This mark has been teasing us for a while, and I finally put the pieces together tonight. While this doesn't mean that Hosch was the ONLY firm using this mark, I have three examples that are definitely Hosch, because they come directly from the Hosch catalog. Due to the four photo limit, I am only showing one example here, but I will provide a link to the other two examples at the end of this article. Note: these photos come from several different sources, and are used here for educational purposes only.

The first photo above shows a vase with painted decor, and the second photo shows the mark in question. Similar to the Loetz oval mark, but the letters are in a different font, and the oval is slightly more circular than the Loetz mark. This decor and shape are found on page 332 of the Hosch catalog - the decor (or one very similar) is found in figure 11, and the shape (and decor) are found on #9 (last photo).

Two more examples can be found in my photo album on the Facebook open group "Art Glass Collectors Club":

I have also identified a mark used by Palda - that will come in my next article.
