    Okay ... it’s 2014 and time to post my first camera of the new year. Presented here is something really unique; the only known extended body Henry Clay Regular camera that can hold five plate holders.

    As background, the Scovill & Adams Company occasionally created 'made-to-order' cameras for their clientele. (FWIW I’ve posted two other Henry Clays here on CW ... one with a special order brown leather body.) Anyhow this is a really big camera measuring 20” in length when opened.

    But what makes it really special is that the plate holders fit into a custom mahogany case that, in turn, can be inserted into the camera for storage. Overall it’s an absolutely beautiful camera that somehow survived all these years in original condition!
