Picked this up from the same dealer with shabby chic pieces. It was hiding behind some things. We got an even better deal on this. In my research I haven't been able to find the specific piece of furniture this came from. It must have come from some sort of armoire because it is 70.5" tall. You can see from the photo it is nearly as tall as a regular door! If you watch Mad Men, Don Draper had a credenza that matches this in his office at one point. I'm not sure if it is still in his office at this point or not. If y'all can find a link to a photo of the piece of furniture this came from I would love to see it.
Cool, I'll sniff around. Too crummy out torun around much.
TADA!!!

Yeah I had seen that link, but haven't been able to find the particular cabinet this huge panel came off of. I posted this to the Madstyle Vintage Instagram last night and have had people all over the country asking about it.
Well that's impressive. Always good to get your shops visibility up
beautiful !!!! wow , its amazing!!
Good find. I think what you have is a decorative panel. The company who produced that is Witco and the design is Oceanic.
Yes I knew it was oceanic, but I still think it is a door. I can tell there used to be hinges on it.
pretty sure this is a king size headboard....I found the same thing this weekend...it is 70 inches long....looks like someone cut the bed frame mounts of? I also have two dressers and a mirror...and alot of people are calling this Witco....but from what I have read on other forums...it is not.. this is a mis-attribution ...this stuff is cool and HOT right now either way
I still think it was a door because you can see there were hinges along one entire side of the length of the door and the other side has a flat metal chip just like you would see on many other types of doors to be held shut with a magnet.
Also there is no indication bed mounts were cut off and a king sized bed is several inches wider than the length of this piece so it might look a little weird with a king sized bed.
This is what the king sized bed looks like: http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=111272006201&roken=CSIWbt#
IDK...but I do have a king size headboard...and the plastic molded portion of it is 70 inches...the same exact size has the credenza that I have...I am sure it is possible that it could be a door...seems like they molded this design on a few items...havnt seen a door that big yet
I believe this is probably the door to a vertical Oceanic dry bar. There is one for sale on Chairish right now
