I believe Anna Efverlund designed the vase for Ikea
I think these were produced by Ikea. I forgot the designers name. Its a great looking vase though.
Thanks for all the love!
Hi PDAM, Thanks for the info. Im actually wondering if it's one of his designs? I've seen this style attributed to him but that was on 1st dibs. so i'm very skeptical.
Oooooooo....thats great. thanks again sean!
Thanks sean. I like them too! but the Timo Sarpaneva ones are nicer.
When I first looked at them I thought italian but seeing the serial numbers threw me off.
Thats a good point sean. Maybe the pattern is a knock off of atterberg's designs.
The bottles with stopper measure 9 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" in diameter. The height would work as a curette set but not the diameter. Unless you have really long fingers or big hands.
That would be a lot of oil & vinegar maryh1956! lol. I think they are a bit too big to be a curette set. gtmoom I was thinking scandinavian also. I've seen a white bottle with a similar shape but wi...
I agree that the vase is nice looking. Thats why I bought it. I have a tendency to but drawn to simple strong lines regardless if it is old or new. I appreciate all the comments that you have posted....
Thank you for that link on the Empoli article. The more you know the better!
beside it not being cased glass, what are the differences?
Now, I am stumped. I found a cased glass version of the vase online attributing the manufacture to Empoli Opalina!? http://www.rubylane.com/item/1117589-hor21114/1960s-Italian-Orange-Red-Gul
thanks for the info racer4four!
any thoughts as to who might have manufactured it? The sticker has a male(?) glass blower on it.
It's very futurist looking in a vintage sort of way. I wish I had the top for it though.
Sadly I do not know who designed this carafe. If I find any info I'll let you know.
Sorry it took so long to post sean68. Thank you for your comments!
Good find. I think what you have is a decorative panel. The company who produced that is Witco and the design is Oceanic.
