    Trenchartman
    (32 items)

Here is one of many helmets and hats I have in my collection of military items consisting mainly of trench art. I have had this for over 30 years now received it on my 13th birthday. It has the original hat box and cover. It is in great condition for its age. Not much else to say other than it is one of the neatest pieces in my collection of stuff. I have added a link as the first comment for additional pictures of the helmet.
    Enjoy

Yes I do have many various types of military items as well as other collectibles. I will be adding items weekly as I have time. This is really kind of fun to share my collection and see other peoples collection as well. Thanks for looking.

My wife asked me what the spike was for on top of helmet , I told her it was for when they made a charge at the enemy lines they would duck their heads and try to spear the opponent . For a while she believed me but I couldn't keep straight faceand now she's mad . Why do I do such things ? Jack

      Jackofalltrades,
That is too funny. I don't think I could have kept a straight face either.
      Thanks for looking

Very cool! I have the same thing, differnt liner? Got mine for $10. Check it out, I just put it up on the site. are the leather liners earlier or later?

I am not sure which liner would be earlier

Super nice officer Pickelhaube, and you have a cover and carrying case as well. As far as the liners go most were leather, but this is an officer helmet, and most likely was a private purchase piece. By being a private purchase piece, he hed more options with the type of liner he wanted.
