Here is my mystery piece. I think it is a powder jar with a foot, but I suppose it could be a small candy box. Its about 4 inches across. The bottom reminds me of some Indiana cup bottoms. I think it is old er, as the glass has some transparency at the edges. What I find unusual is the molded pattern. There are triangles, little flowers made from dots, etc. and a melon finial handle. The pattern almost has a tribal feel. Most unusual to me, as I have never seen the pattern before. It's probably common, but I'd still love to know more:)

Sorry about the quality of pics, but my phone camera is lousy and I'm a shaky picture-taker. Its the best I can do right now.
Very pretty! So many companies made this type of glass. I'd just image search it and I bet it will pop up. My default maker for a lot of milk glass is Anchor Hocking. There are exceptions, but they are usually marked. Check inside the lid too when a piece has a pattered bottom. Run your finger over the surface sometimes you will feel a mark but not see it unless the light hits it just right.
Thanks for your comment, Mike. Already tried the image search and eBay, no dice. Usually I am pretty good at tracking an item down or at least another piece with the same pattern. Not this time, though. :(
Weirdpuckett, thank you so much!!! Sure enough, that's the pattern. Many of the pieces on that site had no image, so I wasn't able to find the exact piece. A quick search on eBay told me the bottom of my dish appears identical to the low sherbet, so it's possible the piece is a marriage, but either way I love it and am so glad to have the info. Thank you!!!
glad you were able to get an ID; from what I can make out this appears to be footed. "R" has this piece listed as a covered Peanut Jar w/Lid. I have some of the history of this pattern noted in this post of mine:
