I will never understand people buying from Danbury Mint. When you look at the ones that actually sell online they sell for $3.99 all the way up to $10. Doesn't seem like a good investment looking at the reality of cost and return over a 25 year period.Naturally you will see high asking prices but I only look at what sold. Just my 2 cents.

Your 2c plus my 2c = 4c fhrjr2...which (if real US pennies) might just be a better investment than any of those "collectors items" that Danbury Mint (& etc) sell with their late nite TV ads...?? ;-)

Add my 2 cents to the group.

      Created collectibles never retain values!

Regardless, when any of the ...Mint cards were purchased ( I have 2 photo books worth of Danbury Mint cards since 1994). It's all about history, the most famous players from the past. Babe, Lou, Stan, Sachel, they all made history and no matter what type of medio, video, pictures capture that... it is still history! I have a number of Sports Illustrated articles and a number of baseball cards throughout the years since 1920's. They will stay within my family for years; my point, whatever you have in your hands from history, cherish it, regardless if it is fake or not... the past is amazing with our heroes either sports, or defending our country!

kgirish34, I agree with you, on this site you will find a handful of snobs who like to spout their so called knowledge. If they don`t have anything nice to say, they say it anyway. That`s why I don`t post here anymore. It`s sad because there are a lot of GREAT people on here that really care about others feelings and are not arrogant know-it-alls.
