This nun and monk are made out of...wood? Resin? They are much lighter than they look. I'm guessing mid century but that is about all I know.
I thought he had a Bjorn Wiinblad look to him, but that because I am snow blind.

Side note story: I have a hidden love of vintage table cloths (outing myself here!) Thought I had lucked onto four of them today. Doing a little dance until I saw that they wanted 15 bucks a piece for them!!! I thought it was a mistake but the manager said no. I wanted to hand him my phone and tell him to look them up on ebay because his pricing was cray cray. I held back and went back to my car and cried...well not really but was very pissed.

They look like resin and then have been aged with this dark varnish... some kind of bitumen of Judea?

simply formed, could be either modern or very old!!
Still handing out as a mystery. Saw a picture of another pair saying mid century monk and nun but I could get the page to open.
Can't decide if I am having buyers remorse or not.
