Had this for a while and it appears to be signed but I can not make it out, or getting any hits on it. About 12 inches high. Know it is the Discus thrower, but trying to find out the maker, age, and anything else. Base does have a crack in it (but I do not care as I love it). Is the Brass or bronze as I do not know much on this.
Any info most welcomed....and IF you can figure out he signature, even better....LOL. Thxs
.....Any ideas on the Signature at all?? Any guesses?? LOL

Discobolus is most copied bronze statue but this it is not real bronze it is type metal with bronze layer in top.
Original discobolus was from Myron(460-450 BC) was full size Creek statue but nobody knows where it is now. Romans maybe melt it and made marble copys from it.
Once I have this, lot of marks but copy anyway.
