I found this lovely stove in Trout Creek Ontario. It had a for sale sign on it and I bought hands down. I had no idea how old it was or where it came from.
I have been trying to research the foundry in Orillia Ontario. I cannot find any information. I would like to find an oven thermostat for it if that is possible.
There seems to be a lot of stoves out there now days that replicate this model and they are very expensive.
Oooh its superb! I found a lovely old range once just rusting in a field, I'd love to have had it but had no way to move it. It was VERY heavy!!!
This stove was made by the Tudhope Anderson Company and my great grandfather was James Brockett Tudhope, one of the founders. If you contact The Orillia Museum of Art and History: https://www.google.ca/search?q=orillia+museum+of+art+and+history&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-ca&client=safari, you should be able to learn some of the information you're looking for. It's a truly beautiful one you found! There's one in the dining hall at Camp Keewaydin on Lake Temagami that I spotted a few years ago. Really fun! Good luck!
