Sandra from Designqvist taught me first who Gunnar Ander was, a Swedish archiect who lived from 1908 to 1976. Since 1949 he was the director of Lindshammar which at the end of the big Swedish glass era did some really stunning designs (another designer was Christer Sjögren).
Please read Sandra's blogpost:

It's in German but we live in the age of Google Translate. She describes very well how and why glass designers began to work with impurities in the Sixties and Seventies. I like this very much, a courage to ugliness hich is beautiful again. My companion Anja compared the shoulder region of the vase with an elegant fur stola.
I already showed a small bowl of the Cascade series with a green stripe which only exists in this series number (you see it on the last picture here):

The vase is really big and heavy. It stands 28 cm high and weighs 2,6 kg. It's signed with with G.Ander 1306/245 and Lindshammar.
It's Fabulous!
Love this vase. Pure and impure at the same time - hope you know what I mean.
Woooow, I am loving you're latest items! :) I've been after this one for some time -well, just wishing I could find one, but poor as i am at the moment, I don't even look for it :)
bEAUTIFUL!!
Thanky you all for your loves! @racer, taht's very well said. @autro, I know this problem. In this case sending was more expensive than the item!
Thanks for mentioning my Cascade-posting, cobaltcobold! You've got a beautiful bottle there! It's funny with all these coincidences: I have another vase in this series which is waiting to be photographed by me so I can add the photo to the blogpost about Ander's Cascade. This was planned to happen this week but you know, sometimes you're just not in the mood for taking pictures... (and if I do although I don't want to, they usually look uarghh...).
I am happy that Gunnar Ander finally seems to get the appreciation he deserves! I am a big fan of many of his works and very probably we who love his glass will stumble upon further thrilling shapes by him that we haven't even seen in catalogues or online - he was so productive!
Once I had this gorgeous lemon yellow vase by him - I sold it the day I opened up my store 2 1/2 years ago and never took a good picture of it which I regret now.
Have a nice day all of you out there!
I understand your pain! I like it very much to take pictures of my pieces. I have another vase by Ander, but I have to find some time to take pictures.
a great piece the top works perfectly
congrats
HAPPY NEW YEAR COBALT !!! ! !!!
