26" x 4.25" x 11.75 wooden carry case built to fit over and attach to a salesman's demonstrator farm gate. The gate has "Patented February 18, 1908 stamped on it but I have been unable to locate a patent.

The gate may have something missing on the latch side. It does appear that the gate must be tilted slightly to unlatch it.

UPDATE: DECEMBER 20, 2018. THANKS TO ELBECK I NOW HAVE THE PATENT TO GO WITH THIS GATE. PATENT #879,507 WAS ISSUED TO ORRIN J. WYMAN OF ALBION, NY ON FEB 18, 1908.

This one looks like US Patent 879,507 by Orrin J. Wyman to me.

elbeck - You are right! I was looking for a patent without notches on the post that raises the gate. I've found that the models don't always match the patents perfectly.
It appears you have done some deep patent diving. You have a good eye! Thanks again.
