I had to pick this up but don't know exactly what it is, but it feels right...
The paint is obviously done by hand, and the gold color is raised.
I especially like the 3rd photo where the kid is karate kicking the flower.
All input appreciated!
beautiful and stunning!!
Japanese.

HinT: ; ) Satsuma Mark one of -zans (the bottom mark)
It's a nice one too!
Very Kinky! ;)
Sorry, in laws in for dinner...'nough said there...
Kinkozan? 1868 to 1927? Tsukuru? '68 to 13?
I think it is Kinkozan mark 1147. The two marks on yours are marks 2 & 3 right to left.
3-1
4-2
IMHO.
1447. Vase. Mark: Kinkozan tsukuru. Meiji (1868-1913) period.
Very nice!
Now that's something I would definitely buy Amber......Beautiful ! I have a little Meiji Era jar as well and the style looks similar with the gold and floral painting. Mine has birds and mums instead of figures. -Mike-
I have one with kind of similar mark! I will post! Maybe learn something!!
V, thank you so much! I have spent the last half an hour, waiting or the coffee to percolate and reading up on my Kinkozan. I am impressed with our detective powers as it is not the clearest of signatures. Thank you so much for the help. I'm pretty confident I would not have gotten there without you.
Mike, it's funny what bubbles up at the thrift. I got it at a place where I will leave empty handed 9 out of 10 times. But that tenth...it is always mega treasure. Baccarat, Arabia, Danish enamel jewelry... So every time I get frustrated and think, just pass, I have to focus on the good stuff.
Thank you for the loves...and the kind words Agram!
Dear Amber, a million such beautiful things should come your way. Love the bottom, too!
T
Kinky? What did I miss?
