I friend of mine and I have hundreds of these. There are a few different types. I probably have about 50lbs of these buttons. It would be nice if I could know where they came from and what they are made of.
If I had 50 pounds of buttons and I didn't know where they came from, didn't know what they were made of or what they were I think I would step back and have a look in the mirror. Something wrong with the picture. How rare is 50 pounds of new looking buttons? OK, tell me to button my lip.............I won't but I may snicker a bit.
Fyi. I just got them. Hence- me trying to figure it out.
This style Crown is shown on several British Uniform buttons, I don't know this exact pattern, but would say either British or a colony there of.
with a quick google image search, I believe the one with the "R" to be a Boatman and the others as light infantry, British Uniform

I took a look at the web site. it looks similar to those. I am very curious on why someone would collect all of them.
Flip them over and show the back side in a picture. That will be very helpful.

I hate to be a party pooper, but multiple European countries used royal cyphers and crowns, and used the hunting horn for infantry or light infantry. I don't recognize the cypher and the style of crown does not look British to me, and I wish I could tell you what it was rather than what I don't think it is.

Still the replicas are 10 USD each so it may be worth quite a bit!
After reading a bit further (my Danish is a bit rusty) it says that the uniform buttons sold at the Danish Mail Museum is either spare buttons or used in good condition. The arrows symbolize the Danish telegraph and the horn the Danish post. They switched from using the royal emblem to the post horn instead as to not have to replace all buttons for each regent. Between 1979 and 1993 the buttons were plain but the where reintroduced after 1993.
