I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this I have hundreds. A friend of mine has hundreds of antiques. She gave these to me with no history. There are a few different kinds.

Are there any marking on the backs? Military stylized buttons have been used for ages in civilian clothing. Military buttons, in my experience, are usually marked with the maker's name or mark.

no mark. but you can tell that its old due to the hoop. I should have shown a picture of it.

Royal Danish Mail. Maybe early 1900 hundreds?
