This is a Japanese porcelain hand-painted pitcher with a floral pattern.
There is a gold scroll around the top edge (which has a octagonal opening) and all the design is outlined in fine gold. The outside color is a very light mint green and the inside is pure white. The handle is a round ring-type.
The bottom stamp is in red and consists of a simple double line mountain symbol similar to kutani with two japanese characters beneath. I could not positively identify the makers mark. It is 3 3/4" tall and 5 3/4" from spout to end of handle.
- Circa late 19th century or early 20th century.
