I have wanted one of these for a while, and I finally got an opportunity recently. Ausführung 237 is characterized by its jade green ground with multicolored inlays and occasional pinched swirls around the body. The jade green glass is highly UV reactive (see last photo). This is example dates to about 1920, production number unknown, unsigned. 7" tall.
Stunning Ian. I never knew this jade green colour glows. Its fantastic!
I gave a presentation tonight to my local historical glass club on Bohemian glass. I focused on Loetz and brought a lot of my collection to show. You won't believe how many people were drawn to my small 237. The colors are vibrant and the iridescent inside layer is just eye popping.
It's great Warren that you got to add one to your museum!
Nice example.
