Thought this was a bit of fun. An extra long (14") gold painted ceramic pig. She has a very retro mid-century look and is made of a light and hollow ceramic. The interesting decoration is incised and highlighted in black. It is signed on the bottom but looking at it I can't really tell what it should say. Didn't find anything online to compare it to either. It does look a little too commercial to be an art project but I could be wrong. She looks very proud of herself to say the least ! -Mike-

      Hey Mike! Love this piggy.
Hate to say it but the signature looks like "Viagra" to me.
      Probably not right.
Although I'd say MCM and Italian. It's a great find.

lol...Thanks Amber :) Yeah I don't know if the first letter is an L ,V, or even a J. the second one is definitely a "y" and then n, a or m, a or n, n etc. I gave up trying to figure it out !

      Sorry I couldn't help myself...hee hee
The pic of the signature is pretty blurry when I click on it. Can you get a better shot?

Ok.... so this is best I can do. Only working with 2 megapixels here and no zoom.

Seems clear enough to me . Still doesn't help decipher the chicken scratch. I've been looking at it all day. It could be anything unless it's a known artist with other pieces to compare it too. I have not been able to find anything even close to it online.

It actually says "mine". He wandered from home recently and got lost until Mike picked him up. See the eyes? He's thinking "can't he sort this out soon and get me back where I belong?!"

No matter who made it, Gorgeous piggy!! I've found taking photos at different angles has helped figure out backstamps, etc. I hope you figure it out.
