I bought this in spite of believing that the lid might not be original. I love its shape. I love the way the shape of the legs is so right for the body. I love the craftsmanship shown in curling up the feet and leaving a glint of daylight showing through. And all on a tuppennyha'penny jam pot!
Then one day, browsing here, I followed a link to 'Dirk's Czech Trip' which had shots taken at a Tango exhibition. One shot shot included a red version complete with chrome lid. I don't remember seeing a maker's name in the shot, though.
Height to top of knob 10 cm. Diameter 10 cm. approx.
Beautiful colour and the back legs set it off nicely...I have seen these been attributed to Loetz...but! I am sure someone will be able to help... nice find!....:-)
