I picked this New Haven clock up this weekend at a local show. I liked it at first for the Deco look, but when I looked closer, I saw it was an advertising piece from a finance company in the next town over. I could not remember hearing anything on this company, so I Googled them. The only thing I found was an ad from 4/27/1939 that advertised car loans for "$6.00 per year per $100 borrowed". Sometimes the history is as much fun as the piece!
Neat Advert also.... makes for a fun reference :-)
Thanks Kerry! and thanks for the love, official fuel!
LOL icollect! I hadn't noticed it until you mentioned it. I have a picture of the whole sheet. There are also 2 ads for transportation to the Worlds Fair. One was $5 a person, 7 people minimum for Eddie's Taxi, and one was for the D&H railroad, no price. I just realize, that will be 75 years in just a month!
Thanks for all the loves, everyone!
