Just from experience from coca cola collectibles, I think anything that says "chicago worlds fair" is fake, but I'm not an expert
The only 1933 Chicago World Fair mickey mouse collectable, would be the first mickey mouse watch and box. The box had a sticker on it deplicting the worlds fair. Check out this site for pics of the watch,http://75yearsfortheinegersollmickey.blogspot.com/. Note: I have several mm showing the 1933 CWF logo but sadly they are repos, Hope this helps, Kerry
Before getting to all of that, look at Mickey's eyes. He had the "pie piece" wedges in his eyes at this time. This picture does not. It is clearly not accurate to the period.
Sorry, I didn't include the mickey tin bank from the fair, wasn't thinking clearly, again sorry for misinfo.
Thank you all for the responses.
I have the exact same sign, too. Mine is in a different frame, though. I have never seen another one like it, until now. Would love to know when it was actually made, and if it's worth a few bucks.
We have the same sign, too, in a different frame. Would like to know anything about pricing or when it was made.
I have just aquired the above glass sign of mickey mouse, worlds fair Chicago 1933, the the frame is just a 4 inch wood frame, squared around it.. does this have any value??
@ Karl, This is a repo piece, they are neat, but not from 1933, value would be approx $5-20, for somebody wanting to use it for wall hanging, sorry
I bought one of these at an estate sale about 20 years ago. The seller claimed it had been in her family since before she was born. She was about 40 at the time. The glass sign has the same frame shown above as posted by williefrank
