Another piece of the haul. Qianlong mark, famille verte/rose, title says it all. I love it!

Ahh dude, when I saw what those shelves were full of, I went nuts and started THROWING them off the shelves into my pile. Old Christie's/Southeby's catalogs of Asian art, collectors guide to Qing, Ming, cloisonne, porcelain, this, that, marks, periods, reigns.... All with full color photos and information. It was a GOLDMINE of info. A DOLLAR EACH!!!!!

A gorgeous piece in many ways. A bit disappointing, not Qianlong era but a copy made around 1900. Very collectable.

Shrine - I know its not a period piece, they rarely are. Its got gorgeous decoration on the outside though, very brilliant colors. I know about Chinese marks rarely being what they say they are.

Did you see my fish-shaped inkstone with the zitan wood case? Its a great piece. Tell me what you think!

Stillwater, may I ask how much did you pay for this piece? Including all associated cost. I am trying to obtain similar things as well.
