I am open to suggestions as the origin/age of this bowl. I found it at an off-the-beaten path charity thrift shop for the price of a hamburger. It is not signed. It is well molded, and shows some age on the feet. The design reminds me of Lalique (I know it is not Lalique, of course) . It also reminds a little of Czech glass also. (Weil, perhaps?)
Anyone wager a guess?
stunning !!!!!
I learn much by finding similar items on Ebay, but in this case I don't know how to describe it well enough to do a search. Are those bubbles?
Wow, thanks icollectglass. that saved me a lot of time. (I think it looks better in frosted glass than clear).
Thanks ICG. I guess it is not as great as I thought. Back to "Glassology 101" for me. That is why I enjoy CW, I love the sharing of info. I always learn something new. Think how smart I am going to be when I reach 100!
LOL. I thought "burble" was a typo and you were posting from a Happy Hour somewhere.
Anchor Hocking's name for this pattern was 'Inspiration'; 'Burple' was given by collectors. Like looking in the satin finish : )
U got it IC ! : ) didn't mean anything, besides 'Burple', 'Boppie' and 'Bubble' are so most often used for those popular AH patterns that the originals name have mostly been forgotten.
lmao!!!! TallCakes :) comment 23 !!!
