I found a beautiful, working RCA television at a flea market. It was made in Japan - I'm guessing early 60's... The TV still has all the original knobs - all working - tubes and antenna, all intact. Currently it works... and with the addition of a digital converter, you get a great black and white picture you can stomach for about 30 minutes.
I love the green/white colour and the overall look. It's a 12" picture, and I intend to gut it and replace the insides with a flat colour monitor.
Gutting it will help the value of the originals that are still out there. I don't know how old you are but if you have never discharged a power tube on one of these please be careful. It isn't just a big jolt.
high voltage rectifier tube lead to the crt will have a nice bite...zap
