    (584 items)

Here's is the third Peyró item in Carlos's collection. This time is a jug and apart from its funny wavy shape it has an amazing blue and brown glaze! It seems to me its style is more 60s than the other two Peyró items (vase and lamp foot), although I could be wrong.

We still have been unable to find more information on Peyró ceramics from the 50s and 60s. We went to the Ceramics Museum in Valencia just to find out that due to their new displaying ideas they have refurbished the original decoration of the palace -which is truly amazing- by reducing the ceramics exhibition -which is pretty sad-. So I'll try and contact the museum so whenever we visit again we'll be able to do a search in their library... if they've got one, of course :)

We don't see much Spanish stuff here, particularly special objects like this. He was clearly a wonderful artist.
Austro does the museum have an on-line catalogue you can check? Most do. Karen

Thanks racer! Peyró was one of the greatest in Valencian pottery at his time.

The museum have a catalogue online, but you must search by name and it doesn't really show much unless you know what you're looking for... and in Spanish :)

So if you do a search on Peyro here:
      http://ceres.mcu.es/pages/SimpleSearch?Museo=MNC
you will only get one piece.... ???

Then they hace a selection of items. here:

When we visited it there was an exhibition showing the donation from a Dutch couple. Amazing stuff!

      It is a fantastic work!
Had a quick look at their catalogue online thanks Austro. I guess it's a start for research but as with my Japanese glass language can be an issue - even with Google translate! BTY isn't Carlos Spanish?
