Neat item. I remember these from puncturing the palm of my hand. I was working in a florists shop and when you sold something you put the paper copy of the sale on this . You learned quickly to not put your palm over it as you put the paper on it. These were part of daily book keeping during the 50's and 60's. Keep in mind there were no calculators then only an adding machine so the paper was important to balance the books.
