Do you ever see something and think "I should buy that, that's something good" even though you don't collect it, don't know for sure and really don't want it? That's what happened when I saw this bad boy. At worst I thought, I could put it in my son's room as he loves trains. (or Randolph if he doesn't like it)
I did pick it up and put it back down a few times.
I get to the check out and the guy asks me if I switched tags on it. I was shocked, I don't do that. He then elaborates that this is a H. Hargrove painting and they usually price them at $40. No I said, I only saw Thomas.
"you are getting a really good deal" I'm told...Okay, thanks!
This guy still sells online. Very popular on that auctiony place too.
But...it's a train...
SO LOVE THIS..................
Wow, you guys are so fast, thanks! Boy child has't cottoned to it yet...we will see. Although he is playing with Thomas right now...
Your very welcome Amber!!!! he will :)
Amber, that's awesome. I do look at stuff and think, "I should get that". I think that after a while, you get to know what's good and what's not, even if it's "not your area" That's how I ended up with most of my stuff. Beautiful!.
UPstate, you are exactly right. You just recognize...hmmm...what's the right word here...quality? Talent? But you get what I was saying.
Toot toot for all the the love!
Yea but people seem to be into it. His website has wicked high pricing.
You were lucky some try & make you pay full price, honesty always pays. If it happens to me & I don't get it as the advertised price I don't buy as legally they have to sell at advertised price you cannot help it if someone does not do their job properly.
nice find, love the frame as well......
It's was all fine in the end.
Boy child still not finding it fascinating so it might make the trip to Randolph.
The frame is worth the $40 bucks. I love this Painting AmberRose. The red accents and the strong black outline. When you get tired of it give me a yell and name your price. :)
Love this! Any train guy would go gaga over this. I sure have... lol...
Thank you ,Sheldon!!!!!!!!!!
Bazinga!!!!
Love the frame love the painting even more...well done AmberRose...a very Happy Easter to you and your family...:-)
Hey guys, my son does not seem interested...which surprises me...but I guess he doesn't talk like Thomas does. This will be going to the Randolph Street Market booth unless someone shoots me an email...
I appreciate the loves.
I did the same thing, AmberRose. Loved this serigraph and had to have it until I realized I really have nowhere to hang it. (It's a large one- like 30 x 26 or something like that. At
least your train looks like a smaller size).
It's Baby's 1st Christmas and a limited editiom, so something tells me to hold on to it for grandchildren.
On the other hand, my grown sons do not have the same appreciation for it that I do. Lol
Love Hargrove. I'll post a pic.
