After seeing Kerry's Popeye pocket watch that he posted 2 months ago (Link - http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/113311-1935-new-haven-popeye-pocket-watch), I have decided that I need one too! This is what I bought recently! Thank you Kerry for posting it all the way from USA over to me!

@icollectglass : Actually I am not too sure whether early cartoon characters were geared towards adult! In the case of Popeye, he first appeared in the daily King Features comic strip Thimble Theatre on January 17, 1929; he became the strip's title in later years. He also appeared in theatrical and television animated cartoons.
I guess in the late 20s and early 30s, both children & adults could enjoy reading comic strip, going to theater and watching TV as long as the family was wealthy enough to afford such entertainment.
Many thanks Tom61375! :-)
