Here's the last thing I picked up today from the yard sale. I found it in a box someone had already been through and had unwrapped everything. Good thing no one but me be likes these little Asian pieces. It appears to be a molded piece with a nice raised hand painted cherry blossom design and a basket weave pattern down the sides. The mark on the bottom just says Japan. So it's probably late 30's early 40's. -Mike-
You should go tomorrow nuts :)... You are probably just as close as I am . Takes me like 20 minutes to get out there from Elyria.
I see your dry streak is over ;)
Yeah I was really going though withdrawl. I actually get all depressed and moody.. lol. Add to that waiting for the auction to close on my bowl Tuesday. So far no bids but most everything in the auction has not been bid on yet. They had open exhibition this week by appointment to view the lots. I'm sure there will be a flurry of activity by 11 PM on Tuesday. Everyone waits till the last minute just like Ebay. Come on mega bucks !
I hope you get top dollar for your bowl xo fingers crossed for you
Thanks Aim :) I hope so !
This is an unknown mark, it seems.

Under K there is the suggestion that the K is for Kyoto.
Thank you vetraio :) I didn't even think to check Gotheborg. I usually go there for the older Chinese character marks though. -Mike-
What a lovely vase, Mike, great find! :)
Beautifully Mike, lovely decor and very interesting shap...that blossom..? Looks Japanese or maybe the Chinese impression of Japanese?
Thank you Katherine and Anne for the "loves" and comments :).
