This bangle is made in Stockholm Sweden in 1954. I posted it before when I had just bought it, you can see an older post. The bangle was really dark and dirty, but I thought there might be a beauty underneath. I tried to clean in myself but realized I had to turn to a sliversmith for help. An this is the result. I had asked them to have a look at the stones while they were working with it.
The answer when I got back was that the big stone probably was agate and one of the little ones a chrysoprase. I'm not convinced, got the feeling they had forgotten to check and just gave me an answer by looking at them. I find it odd why you would put in different types of stones like that when you put so much effort into making a bangle like this by hand. I´m no expert but I think all the stones are chrysoprase. I´ve seen some other pieces by this silversmith and he´s justed chrysoprase in those. Anyway, this bangle is quite special I think even without an answer to the stone-mystery.

I just came here from my ring post, before I even answered you there...This is really beautiful and I agree that the stones must be the same. They look like emeralds to me. But that's just because I have only recently even heard of chrysoprase and always thought the green stones like this were emeralds. That's just what I have always thought...I was so wrong. The jeweler did a beautiful job cleaning this. There are so many people that prefer that dark look. Not me either...I'm with you on that!
