I received this bowl from my ex mother in law and no idea what it is.
The bowl is a greenish color, with purple around the rim. The outside is green but looks like white clouds in the glass itself. The bottom has a mark that looks to me like a fleur de lis.
Appreciate any help with identifying this bowl.
Thank you
Thanks for the "love" :)
Any ideas?
I looked at every Cloud glass image I could find and nothing even comes close to this. The clouds on the outside of this glass look so much brighter then the others.. Ugh i feel like im loosing a battle trying to identify this thing. :/
Hi juliecann. Very beautiful. I'll be watching this, I'd love to know more about it.
Thanks Vintage!! I really hope someone might have an answer for me! :)
Its unusual. Love your description, it really does look like clouds. Someone might recognise the fleur de lis. I did a quick search of fleur de lis glass & came up with this, but couldn't find one like yours.

I found Steubens also used the fleur de lis, though I've not found an example exactly like yours. Hopefully someone more knowledgable than me will ID it for you:)
Yea I looked at the STeubens as well.. only thing that threw me is I didnt see the word or steuben initials... Thanks so much for helping me look btw :) Greatly appreciated!!
Yea, it doesn't have the ribbon either like other Steubens i saw. Good luck in IDing it. I've just added a couple of bits of glass i don't have a clue about either, so im adrift in the same boat here, hopefully we'll both find land:)
Lol ok I got your life vest for you then!! Tomorrow is the Bi annual street fair (Antique fair) So going to be heading out to see what I can find in the morning! Wish me luck
Thanks for the life vest:) Good luck. I love a good forage. Can't wait to see what goodies you find:)
Well I was looking at Steuben bowls.. and I did come across a bowl identical in shape, almost the same green but without the cloud formation.
Well I have come to a dead end.. I looked at it a bit closer, and I do not see any seams at all. Some bubbles.. It kinda makes me think from what I have read it was hand blown. Just by whom and when is beyond me.. Anybody else have an idea?
I'm looking for you also =)
Awesome thanks so much
I'm leaning towards Steuben (Spatter Glass) also, Steuben is the only one I found with a patent for the Fleur De Lis mark, look over these links: http://www.ebay.com/bhp/spatter-glass and try Corning Museum of Glass, one other link for viewing is http://www.worthpoint.com/inventory/search?query=steuben+spatter+glass&categoryurl= hope this helps!
Thank you so much for helping me with the search... I looked at both the links you sent me Thank you again so very much!!
=) - You're welcome, I run into glass that I get stumped on from time to time, this site is FANTASTIC for finding an answer!!
Well I finally broke down and went to the Corning website and submitted the pictures and my question of possible creator and timeframe of the bowl. I was sent back an email asking me to forward what I sent them to a different email and warning me they could not give me a value (which was strange cause I didnt ask that) Anyway just wanted to give you all an update
Maybe they already know something? Good luck, anxious to hear results!!
Maybe even check out Loetz.com, (given the beautiful colors in the bowl) have a pretty decent site.
Well still have not heard anything on what this bowl might be or who designed it. Definetly has thrown me for a loop!! :( Although had a nice day yesterday.. Hubby and I went out to an estate sale and got a coolest postcard with vintage Communist propaganda pins... Kinda cool looking!
Steuben, Hawkes, Stevens & Williams, Kastrup have been know to use the a fleur-de-lys
Also, anything here??

Oh yea it is the second mark on the page.. but not a member so no idea who the maker is LOL Thanks so much for the help with the mark :)
So I have been told it is Czech Art Glass.. does anyone know who used that mark on Czech glass?
Check this page out Juliann, maybe will help??

And I found this:
Barolac (c 1935 - 1950s)
'Barolac' was a trademark registered in 1935 by John Jenkins & Son of London, importers & retailers of glassware. The opalescent or frosted pressed glass pieces were manufactured in Czechoslovakia by the Josef Inwald company . However, when I look at the Inwald Company mark on this page:
http://www.great-glass.co.uk/glass%20notes/marki-l.htm
I don't see it - hmmm, and it continues lol
I wish I had more time to help, it's fun, I am pressed though, your bowl is almost like a jadeite swirl of sorts. Funny Loetz pops up everywhere I look for this ha ha Good Luck!
Yea Everything I was seeing was Loetz as well :) But its not.. lol Thanks again for all your help
Julieann did you read the information right here on Collectors Weekly about "Cloud Glass" - I don't think that is what you have but Riecht Company produced a lime green Cloud Glass they also have a purple as strong as the line - similar in color to yours (a Czech company)Hope you find it, it w0ould be driving me nuts if it was mine lol
Well guys, after much deliberation I decided to just sell the bowl. It did come from my ex's mom and well my husband was getting tired of seeing it lol. Anyway, i sold it on ebay.. was upfront with description and not knowing who it was made by. But someone much have seen something in it. :)
