Vintage Brass or Bronze Verdigris Frog Pulling A Shell Cart Sculpture
Beautiful patina on this sculpture of a very hard working frog pulling a nautilus shell shaped cart.
Circa 1970's
He's pretty rare, don't see many of these around. But I have seem variations of him. Bronze with an insect on the shell. Also a similar version in carnival glass.
This piece is hand crafted with excellent detail.
He is solid metal, and quite heavy.
Very Lovely Patina on it.
Measures...
6-1/2 inches long
1-1/2 inches wide
2-3/4 inches high
I've seen these listed as toothpick holders, I thick its too big for that.
But it would be great as a planter.
It's such a fun piece, I really enjoy it.
It will hold everything from business cards to pens to flowers to potpourri.
It has a wonderful style that looks at home on any table or desk it's placed on.
Note the last photo was borrowed to show this adorable peace with Flowers
