Although I knew in advance that the c-clasp of this brooch to be repaired, I still tried to get it in my possession. The sole reason that I think it very beautiful. This is almost always the most important reason I try to get a Jewelry. A try fortunately that was also the case here.
As I said in the title, it is a 18K gold brooch, made in France sized: 28 x 23 mm, signed F. Rasumny. A name before I became acquainted with now was not known to me. Thanks to the help of the PC and the Internet was not that long and I now know who the author is.
Felix Rasumny (1869 - 1940) was a Russian engraver, born in Sevastopol, but emigrated to Paris. He was trained at the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs under such masters as Millet, Gauthier and Tasset.
Felix Razumny exhibited his works at the Salon of the Societe des Artises Francais in 1891 and at the Exposition Universelle in 1900 (awarded with a silver medal).
Became a member of the Societe Nationale des Beaux-Arts in 1911 and was titled as Chevalier of the Legion of Honor later on in 1933.
F.Rasumny was know for a massive cast iron maquette for the celebration of the opening of Pont Alexandre III at the 1900 Paris Exposition Universalle, as well as for the designing medals, jewelry pieces, medallions and the 1929 Ten-francs coin.
Dedicated some of his time to modeling small scale statues of Russian and Ukrainian subjects.
The only thing I would like to know is: What sets this image ?? I think a mythological female figure. Who has an idea? I look forward to your suggestion!

I would simply refer to her as a Bacchante, a follower of Bacchus. She reminds me of marble bust titled "Bacchante" by French sculptor Prosper d'Epinay:

I am sure that you are right, a follower of Bacchus. How could I forget, it's the same description as one of our fellow collectors gave me information at my Micro Mosaic brooches which you can find under this link: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/65000-rare-very-old-antique-roman-mid-1800s-m?in=collection-1743 although now when I look at my brooch again I doubt now if this was a right suggestion because there are no grapes as far as I can see.

Did you notice the monogram AD (?) on the right below the signature?
She is beautiful, you have to find a good restorer to repair the C clasp...

kyratango I found indeed on eBay and yes also AD. But in this auction the seller called the wrong signature it should not be F ROSUMA but I believe indeed also F. Rasumny. In any case, thank you very much for your help, I did not actually find it myself. Nice weekend, "see and meet" you here again I hope!

She appears to be modelled after the an award medals designed by Félix Rasumny depicting "Marianne," the famous allegorical female figure symbolizing the French Republic.The national symbol represented the spirt of liberty, glory, and victory. He used this depiction on many medals, the obverse changed according to the award it represented.

According to the 1908 "Spink & Son's Monthly Numismatic Circular," Volumes 16, medals designed by Rasumny were made by the Paris firm of A. Duseaux & Co.

This ebay listing shows the "AD" monogram also. This listing states it represents it was struck by the Desaide Art Shop, Paris, not Duseaux. I haven't thoroughly researched this discrepancy but see my next reference, which would lead me to think that "AD" represents Duseaux, not Desaide.

This advertisement in the 1906 "Gazette Apicole de France" by A Duseaux & Cie that states they make medals and plaques signed by F. Rasumny. A. Duseaux & Cie was owned by "Adrien" Duseaux.

This Fitzwilliam Museum entry for an Art Nouveau waist clasp by Rasmuny states "Note from Charlotte Gere, March, 1984. 'Rasumny exhibited at the Paris Salons from 1887. His medals were made by the Paris firm of A. Duseaux & Cie, 22 rue Réamur, Paris. The Hull Grundy Gift, Norwich Castle Museum no. 297.33.979 is a medal signed by Rasumny and bearing the mark of this firm."

Here is the same medal in a catalogue that states it is circumscribed "UNION DES SYNDICATS DE L’ALIMENTATION EN GROS DE FRANCE" that roughly translates to "Union of Food Wholesale of France." The catalog states it is the "GROCERS. Medal of the Union of Syndicates of Wholesalers of Foodstuffs of France."

Repair of the clasp is not easy at all because of diamonds with flat back usually set over silver foil (to avoid yellow color). If hard soldered at very high temperature diamonds are likely to fall out and after immersion into pickle the acid would penetrate into diamond settings. In cases like this I make c clasp, hard solder it to small gold plate as a base and attach it to the brooch using soft solder at much lower temperature.
In a word, hard soldering can be done easily, but it`s risky.
