Has anyone heard of or have any info on the maker of this item? I believe it is "HOBE"? Not really sure, its a nice piece though.

It's quite stunning BHOCK!
Jugendstil look.
William W Hobé.
thank you vetraio! I was lucky I saw the piece was signed but I couldn't really make it out. I bought a lot of handmade taxco pieces that day too.

BHock45 can you please post those Taxco pieces you talked about? I really love Taxco silver :-). This pendant is nice to.
elisabethan, of course! Tonight, when I get some time I will do so. I am a sucker for taxco pieces, not sure what it is. I think it is the look and feel of the silver rather then the craftsmanship. See you later!
William HOBE the son of Jacques Hobe a goldsmith who started HOBE COMPAGNIE in Paris in the late 1800's moved to New York in the early 1920's. One of his first clients was Florence Ziegfeld who commissioned him to create costumes and jewelry for his Ziegfeld Follies productions on Broadway. In 1927 he founded the American Hobe Jewelry Company. His company was very successful and sold Jewelry to the stars of the time like Ava Gardner, Betty Davis..etc. In the 1930's he supplied Jewelry for sale in high End Jewelry Stores, Departmend stores and exclusive boutiques. His sons later continued the business and after 1980, his Grandson took over the business. They used the best of materials in their creations. Some of their creations are quite pricey and valuable.
