Hi everyone. Today I found two unique pieces. I was hoping to get some help IDing them. This piece is very heavy, it is 8 inches in all directions and about 10 inches tall. Looks like nickel over bronze or brass? I can't tell and I am not sure if this is embossed or carved or what, but there doesn't seem to be any symmetry like you would see in a molded mass produced piece. The images are interesting and seem to tell a story. I am hoping someone has experience with these.
It will be all hand done - hammered - somewhere like Persia, India.
thank you vetraio, do you agree it is bronze, nickel plated?
thanks agram, geo, mikelv, agh, and vetraio
Very nice!
elisabethan, thanks! I didn't forget you I will post those taxco pieces tonight, thanks for your help with the slag piece too!
thanks radegunder, blunder, elisabethan, and moonstone
anyone know what this might be used for? thanks!
thanks sean!
