Here's an odd little bit of glass from Salvation Army. It has an almost aquatic look to it, like a jellyfish. The body is clear with an opaline lattice pattern that starts out solid around the rim and works it's way down the piece. It's only 6" tall and 2 1/2 " wide. The bottom is somewhat smooth with a depression in the middle. I think it might be Italian but I'm not sure. I did see similar patterns of glass online, but not this shape. -Mike-

It's surprisingly low tech nut's. It's the black suede sleeve for my Dell laptop. I just lay it down and set the piece on it. Sometimes it gives it that floating effect. :)

what kind of camera are you using ?
    3. mikelv85 mikelv85, 11 years ago
That's low tech too Sean my 4 year old prepaid LG phone's built in camera. It's the easiest to connect to the computer by USB and transfer the pictures. I've tried other cameras but they seem too fussy and time consuming needing software and memory cards to transfer. My desktop computer is old (yes XP the heck with Microsoft) and not compatible with a lot of the newer stuff . I have a generic photo editor that helps to clear things up sometimes but not always. It gets the job done...lol

Nice one Mike. I need to get my camera technique going.

No idea about this Mike but it just really grabs me.

I just saw a pair of these at an antique mall the other day. I'm sorry I can't help you with the ID since those two were unmarked. The pattern reminded me a little of the Occhi vases by Scarpa for Venini. I came across your post today while I was searching for a picture on the site and thought it was a strange coincidence.
