My dad passed away but always kept this lamp. He actually had it hanging on the wall. I wish I knew the designer. The bottom of the switch base is partially worn but I can make out ssen and tudio. Have Googled Studio but not finding anything similar. Any help would be appreciated.

      Hi! Good news!

It's called the 'Anywhere table light'.
      Designed by Greta Von Nessen.
      (Not Greta Grossman)
      Nessen Studio Inc..
Enamelled tubular metal base with enamelled metal shade and diffuser. 40.5 cm high.

Greta von Nessen (1900—1975) was an industrial designer. The wife of Walter von Nessen, founder of Nessen Studios, now Nessen Lamp's Inc., after his death she continued his shop and developed designs of her own. She is most famous for the aluminum and enameled steel Anywhere Lamp (1951). Though, "there was nothing like it...at the same time, there was absolutely nothing new about it; all of the lamp's parts had been available as early as the 1920s." Her designs have been featured in the Museum of Modern Art and on a US postage stamp.
