    (75 items)

APPROX 8 &1/2 inches tall at spout AND 14 inches wide at spout. Solid iron. lots of big rust flakes inside but still solid as a rock. The lid is permanently attached with a number 6 or 9 on lid. Its very heavy. I'm thinking its for some kind of industrial purpose as it is so heavy and thick.

Should I put it in the yard as a planter or does this belong in a place of prominence or a museum.

    Please help!

    Best regards,

    Brian O'Keeffe

I have a couple like it, too. For years, I used one on my kitchen stove (wood)- just to put steam in the air. Mine was not rusty inside.

I have one with a #7 on the lid and ad text related to a co-op in Rome, Ga.; nothing on the maker tho'. This would be a '6' with the bottom closest to the pivot point.

Pretty common item. I also used them on wood stoves when we lived up north. You can wire brush it then give it a couple rubs of stove black and it will look good (from a distance).
