I found these porcelain dishes at an estate sale; I thought they were pretty neat! I love the roosters and the fact that each piece is different.

I have done some research and found that it is possibly called famille rose.

Does anyone know anything about these pieces or how to reason between genuine or artificial asian export porcelain?

Any tips and/or information you might have is appreciated! :)

Famille rose is used to describe a piece when the primary background color is pink ( or rose), just as famille vert is green and famille noir is black

ACF was a US based exporter and distributor of items from Japan and China during the 1950-80’s. Your pieces were decorated in Hong Kong. Unfortunately most trading companies did not have the actual maker’s mark on them, and the quality varies, yours being one of the better quality.

Thanks, everyone for the info! I have an appointment with an appraiser this Saturday to find out what this set's value may be… Maybe I can make a payment to my college loan with some cash. I will keep you apprised of what I hear if it interests you! :)
