I believe this is Circa 1860's to 1870's there aren't any views I can find from Huntsville with a rail yard scene. Huntsville was a key railway in the Civil war as it was seized by General Ormsby Mitchell without firing a single shot and cut off supplies to the confederate army making Mitchell famous.
Would love to see that Phil. Huntsville is only 100 mi from where I was born. Most people don't know that some of the mountainous counties in N. AL refused to secede during the War of Northern Aggression.
Those were great Phil! Please tag them on to this poste so others can enjoy & appreciate your talent. A bright spot in my evening. So,-- "Like you are there".

Thanks Phil
Nice image-- most likely VERY LATE 1870s- 90s based on the format and photographic clues.

Was a great image but brought back to life with our dear Phil who never ceases to amaze me and is so kind at times to help CW posts become clear and stand out . We all appreciate you Phil.
I loved the post before and loved it once more :-)
Could that be a TV antenna on the roof of that boxcar? Just an abstract thought. As most of you know, my mind doesn't see things the way a normal person does.
LOL Blunder no antenna it is Electric Pole ? I was wondering about that walk way bridge looks a little shakey to me It might be the one you had to walk when fired . Kerry needs to get on that bridge and build up structure :-)
it think its a man standing on top of the boxcar
Think of the supposed date Mani. It's a telegraph pole.
